Day 47: Support the Girl Scout ....cookies

Nobody rush the doors but if you didn't know already, Girl Scout cookies are being sold. Right. Now!!! And I bought 5 boxes :-o

I'm one of many contributing/donating towards this $760 million dollar campaign.

Here's what important about this:

"Girls set cookie goals to support their chosen activities for the year, to fund community service and leadership projects, to attend summer camp, to travel to destinations near and far and to provide events for girls in their community."

Building leaders and active community in girls. That rocks.

To your detractors who think this doesn't qualify as a good deed, because you'll be enjoying the cookies - are you kidding me??? An act of kindness that both parties can benefit from is a win-win. It doesn't negate the value of the act. So when you're eating the cookies enjoy each one with a warm heart, knowing you helped a very good cause! <3

I agree. :) There's still tons of days left for more kind acts to occur. Some are small, some are big. When someone says "this isn't a good enough act" or the fact that I'm going to be eating them - the Girl Scouts got $17.50 from me. (lol)My comment to any negativity is - these are the acts I have decided (or fell into) doing - and really ALL kind acts are good enough. If someone else would like to do them or do better, I welcome you to it!

It's mind boggling how any one could be critical of doing something nice.

I think sometimes people have to try to bring other people down in an attempt to feel better about themselves. Your response is spot on - if your acts don't meet up to their standards, then they should step up and perform some acts that do!
